In partnership with the BC Environmental Film Festival, please join us for this special screening of The Spirit Who Swims, a 2024 BC Environmental Film Festival selection. Greg Witzky, Operations Manager for the Fraser Salmon Management Council and Indigenous Project Director on the Big Bar Landslide remediation response team, will be on hand to discuss the film and the work of the Columbia River Salmon Reintroduction Initiative.
Proceeds support the BCEIA’s Annual Indigenous Scholarship Program.
The Spirit Who Swims A love manifesto to Salmon foregrounding its spiritual and material importance to Indigenous peoples along the Fraser River, and an urgent call to rethink our relationship with the natural world. (55:45)
