Montreal, April 16th, 2025 – Finance Montréal invites media representatives to the 5th edition of the Sustainable Finance Summit, the largest event of its kind in North America, taking place from May 13 to 15. More than 80 leading experts in finance, economics, climate, and biodiversity will address an audience of over a thousand participants on the theme “Aligning Finance with Planetary Boundaries.” Despite the challenges brought on by the current political and economic  context, the Sustainable Finance Summit is evidence that Quebec’s leadership in sustainable finance holds strong.

 Speakers will include:

Catherine McKenna, Founder and CEO, Climate & Nature Solutions; Chair of the United Nations high-level expert group on net zero emissions commitments of non-state entities; Emmanuel Faber, Chair, International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB); Marc-André Blanchard, Executive Vice-President and Head of CDPQ Global, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ); and Barbara Zvan, President and CEO, University Pension Plan (UPP)Announcements are expected at this year’s Summit.
