Environmental Enforcement Act

Canada implemented mandatory organic certification in 2009, requiring agricultural products in import, export, and inter-provincial trade labeled as organic or bearing the federal organic logo to be certified. Quebec has its own provincial oversight through the Quebec Accreditation Board. Products must contain at least 95% organic materials to display the Canadian organic logo.
