Canada implemented mandatory organic certification on June 30, 2009, for agricultural products in import, export, and inter-provincial trade that are labeled as organic or bear the federal organic logo. In Quebec, the provincial government oversees organic certification through the Quebec Accreditation Board. Only products with a minimum of 95% organic materials can display the Canadian organic logo.
