The acquisition of First Choice Disposal expands YORK1’s capabilities, increasing its roll-off waste collection and recycling capacity in Southern Ontario by nearly 30 per cent. This integration brings more waste and recyclables into its growing network of processing facilities, solidifying YORK1’s position as a market leader and enhancing its ability to deliver comprehensive, reliable services to a broader, loyal customer base.

In April 2022, York1 bought the Budget Group, consisting of Budget Environmental Disposal Inc., Regional Disposal Services Inc., and Budget Iron and Metal Inc. It specialized in residential, commercial, and industrial waste and recycling solutions, metal salvage, waste facilities, demolition, and abatement services in Southwestern Ontario.
In January 2022, the company acquired Muskoka-based ACES Waste Management Ltd. Founded in 1972, ACES was a waste management service companies in the Muskoka, Parry Sound and Haliburton areas.
