Event Details

oin us as we share results from the recently published HEI Research Report, Mortality–Air Pollution Associations in Low-Exposure Environments (MAPLE): Phase 2, by Dr. Michael Brauer from The University of British Columbia and his colleagues. They evaluated the association between ambient PM2.5 exposure and mortality among 7.1 million Canadian adults from 1981 to 2016.

The study is the final in a set of three studies funded by HEI to explore the health effects from air pollution exposure at levels below government-recommended standards. Members of HEI’s Low-Exposure Epidemiology Studies Review Panel will also discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the study, and how the findings might influence ambient air quality standards.
