Excess Soils Symposium - The Environment Journal

On September 26, 2024, the 8th annual Excess Soils Symposium will provide a first-rate update on the business of excess soils and new regulations impacting construction and cleanup projects.

With the goal to make the event content as inclusive and geographically diverse as possible, the Symposium is providing an open call for participation. Do you have a compelling technical abstract ready to share? Are you interested in pitching a panel topic or participating in a panel? We encourage you to submit your suggestions here.

This year’s Excess Soils Symposium will be returning to the Toronto Region Board of Trade (100 Queen’s Quay East). We are preparing to gather more than 300 attendees, including provincial ministers, municipal staffers, construction developers, industry stakeholders, engineers, project managers, qualified professionals, fill site operators, media and more.

This event offers an interactive update on the business of excess soils and new regulations impacting construction and cleanup projects. The comprehensive conversations will provide a multi-stakeholder approach and a wide scope, including perspectives on land use planning, development issues, environmental impacts, best practices, digital innovations, and more.

Thanks to our sponsors for the 2023 Symposium:
